Dropping The Ceilings…

Sounds bad right? Well, it’s not! However, it is a lot of work. All of the air ducts are in the ceiling of the main level, so that means, wherever there is duct work there has to be dropped ceilings so the drywall can be nail to something. That was one of the big accomplishments today.

The line of boards that goes horizontal just under the top of the ceiling is where the ceiling was dropped.

They also finished the framing…laundry/mud room, pantry and linen closet are now all complete.

There is not a window in the middle of the wall like it looks. It will actually be an inset of the wall above the sink.

Also, all the doorways are cut out now…so no more stepping or tripping over the four inches of board as you walk through each doorway. Yay!
