A vacation day for me and another hard day of work for Ryan. The brick masons are supposed to be starting tomorrow so therefore we needed the North side of the porch as complete as possible. Unlike the front part of the porch that holds it’s own weight, the side part of the porch trusses are not self-sustaining. So, we have to have posts to hold it up. Well, since there are temporary braces holding the trusses up on the wall of the house they needed to be removed, so the masons can do their job.
Posts, beams, and brace plates are now done on the side porch!
For the most part I took advantage of the vacation day, but I did help take nails out of boards…I don’t know enough to help do anything else. Whatever!
