Cleaning Up...

under the existing crawl space was quite the task. Lots of garbage consisting of old pipes, duct work, plumbing and electrical wires. There were a few old hammers and Greg found a few dead...cats in the ventilation. SO GROSS! I am so glad we are redoing that whole system. Could you imagine the smell that they would produce if they were not found? EWW! Ryan just needs to rake out the new part of the old house so that the cleanup part can be complete.

Today, they also used their fancy tool to see if the existing floor was level before they even attempt to start framing...it wasn't, but that problem is now fixed.

I found out today that I needed to decide on the color of hardware I wanted for the doors...it's a big deal because whatever metal the doors have on them will be throughout the rest of the house with light fixtures, sink fixtures, etc.

My favorite is the Satin Nickel, but I just don't know...



And I also found out that I get the doors I LOVE...

The interior and exterior doors will look the same, the only difference will be the material they are made out of. We both really wanted different exterior doors, but right now they don't meet our budget...maybe sometime in the future! We better start saving our pennies for our expensive tastes :)...
