One Step Forward...

and another step back. In the new part of the old crawl space it is a very small and tight fit. Ryan could fit, but really could't move around to get garbage underneath the floor. There was also a beam right in the middle. Because of this, it was hard to get everything that needed to be cleaned out from under there. So, he and Gary decided it would be better in the long run to tear up, just that section of floor, to make sure EVERYTHING was clean in the crawl space (I am glad because there was very old piles of cat poop in each corner-SICK!). Instead of replacing the beam they decided to use the new wood and go the opposite direction of what it was originally. So instead of vertical the floor is going to run horizontal. There should be no reason to have to get under this part of the floor, but just in case, the entire space will be accesible, instead of being half blocked by a beam. Why not fix it right, before it's too late, right?

  1. I just found your blog. How exciting! I bought a fixer upper - but obviously nothing compare to this!! How cool!
